In April 2007, C.C. Myers was recognized among the "Top 25 Newsmakers of the Year" by McGraw-Hill Construction's ENR (Engineering News-Record).  ENR's profile noted that Myers' highway and bridge building company, C.C. Myers, Inc., has "established a reputation as the ultimate quick-fix bridge repairer."  In 2007, two projects drew the attention of ENR: the company's fast re-building of Oakland's MacArthur Maze interchange as well as the Labor Day weekend replacement of a section of the Bay Bridge.  Both projects were completed ahead of schedule and in partnership with the State of California.

In accepting the award at a luncheon in New York, Myers said, "I'm very thankful for the people who work for my organization.  I've got the kind of people with the attitude to go out and get it done and see how fast we can do it for the people of the State of California."  ENR described Myers as "a bridge maestro, known for his bluntness and fairness as well as his penchant for getting jobs done fast."  He is among the few contractors who have ever received this award.
